چکیده
Abstract Background Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) accounted for over 90% of all deaths in the Cypriot population, 2018. However, a detailed and comprehensive overview impact NCDs on population health Cyprus period 1990 to 2017, expressed disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), is currently not available. Knowledge about drivers changes NCD DALYs time paramount identify priorities prevention guide evidence-based decision making. The objectives this paper were to: 1) assess burden terms lost (YLLs), lived with disability (YLDs), 2) 28-year main these changes. Methods We performed secondary database descriptive study using Global Burden Disease (GBD) 2017 results from 2017. calculated percentage change age-standardized DALY rates between decomposed trends causes death that change. Results In 83% (15,129 per 100,000; 12,809 17,707 95%UI) total due NCDs. major contributors cardiovascular (16.5%), neoplasms (16.3%), musculoskeletal disorders (15.6%). Between decreased by 23%. For both males females, largest decreases observed ischemic heart disease stroke. males, increases pancreatic cancer, drug use disorders, acne vulgaris, whereas females psoriasis eating disorders. Conclusion Despite decrease are still public challenge. Implementation interventions early detection screening programmes modifiable risk factors needed reduce occurrence exacerbation leading population.

The Non-Communicable Disease Burden in Korea: Findings from the 2012 Korean Burden of Disease Study
In recognition of Korea's rising burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), we investigated the nation's NCD status and extracted detailed information from the 2012 Korean Burden of Disease study. Consistent with that study, we used disability-adjusted life year (DALY) as a metric. Using national data sources and disability weights specific to the Korean population, we analyzed 116 disaggregat...
متن کاملBurden of esophageal cancer in Iran during 1995-2015: Review of findings from the Global Burden of Disease studies
Background: Iran is located in Asian esophageal cancer belt, with age-standardized incidence rate (ASR) of approximately 7 per 100,000 for both men and women. To provide potential solution recommendations for achieving accurate estimations regarding the burden of the disease in Iran, we designed a study to assess the burden of esophageal cancer in Iran during 1995-2015 by collecting data from t...

Background: This study uses data of the global burden of diseases (GBD) study 2010 to report death, disability-adjusted life year (DALYs), years of life lived with disability (YLDs) and years of life lost due to premature mortality (YLLs), attributed to suboptimal breastfeeding by age and gender during 1990 to 2010 in Iran. Materials and Methods:The GBD assessments were used, together with esti...

BACKGROUND Ethiopia lacks a complete vital registration system that would assist in measuring disease burden and risk factors. We used the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2015 (GBD 2015) estimates to describe the mortality burden from communicable, non-communicable, and other diseases in Ethiopia over the last 25 years. METHODS GBD 2015 mainly used cause of death e...
